It’s a tough life. Some days its hard to get out of bed and get going. Why? How come our levels of enthusiasm seem to fall so easily? Why can’t we get ourselves motivated? Simple really. We try to reverse the energy flow in a universe where all energy is radiating outwards. We try to break one of the spiritual laws. We are taught that winning and achieving is about getting and keeping, when the truth is that it is about giving.

Winners are go givers not go-getters, and their definition of winning is not getting one over on the other guy, but overcoming their inertia and giving something of themselves to someone or something other than themselves. This reverses the flow of energy from outside in, to inside out, and as we all know, the deepest satisfaction in life comes from giving.

    Hi Veronica,

It is definitely getting tougher to get out of bed on these dark, wintry mornings :)

Nice post, and we all need to get motivated if we are to find our place in this new, internet world.

I think this has also to tie in with time management.
    Now I’m in trouble!

You can practice it what you preach I know.

BTW I think you have a hyperlink at the end of the post which is not working.
Let me know if you have a problem with it.

    All the best,

    Dave

    Hi Veronica,

I find it hard some days to motivate myself, some days im ready to get going and can\’t wait to get down to work other days i can\’t peel myself off the couch but the key here is to never give up.

Really like your blog veronica keep up the good work.

    Take care,

    Nick

  3. Hey Veronica,

Great post!!! I try and live my life by making at least one person smile a day, and try and help someone out at least once a day. It certainly makes life more pleasurable.

If we all tried to live our lives not trying to get one over on somenoe else, and giving to others, as you put in your post, then the world would certainly be a much better – and more motivated – place to live in.

These dark days of winter in the Northern Hemisphere though do sap life away – but the good news is that in just 8 days time the days start to get longer and the nights shorter. :)

    Iain.

    Hi veronica
giving is always better than recieving
however i think most of us get side tracked
we should all take a few minutes of our time each day and
see what good we could do to help others ,even if its saying hello to our neighbours
    cheers Mick

    Hi Mick,
Especially in this last round of bad weather, eh? How was it where you are?

It’s just so easy (for me) to get selfish.

    Best wishes,

    Veronica

    Hi Veronica,

I struggle with this as well. These last few months I’ve let my energy and motivation dwindle. We just started a workout program this year and I’m finding that it’s helping me all around. Both with my motivation online and energy to get things done. I have trouble motivating myself at night after a long day at the day job to get online and work on my business. When I get up in the morning is when I feel most pumped and I’d love to just get online and start working …. but I have to go to work. By the time I get home that energy is gone.

    I’m working on it though!

    Thanks, Heidi

    Hi Veronica,

I couldn’t agree with you more.

I think it’s time people practiced giving more than trying to constantly take or try to get one over on the other guy.

That makes for a very unpleasant atmosphere of which I try to avoid. I guess that’s why I like Alex Jefferys and his approach to marketing and people.

    Here’s to self motivation,
    Mike
