Well, have tried concentrating on getting the blog properly set up but all sorts of computer gremlins decided to make life very difficult and challenging so progress has not been as much as hoped although there has been some.

An interesting weekend.

Fairport Convention have an annual 3 day music festival in Cropredy, North Oxfordshire – advertised as the friendliest festival – and it is. For people who haven’t heard of them before, the festival attracts around 20,000 people for the three day event. Headlining this year they had Steve Winwood and they always have Richard Digance as well as Fairport Convention themselves closing the festival on Saturday evening. I believe Cat Stevens (Yusuf) was also due to appear.

On the Saturday of the festival they hold a car-boot on the sports field which, if the weather is nice, is wonderful.

This year it was cloudy and quite windy but nevertheless many of the festival-goers did come and we had a reasonably successful day. In the afternoon it really brightened up and the whole festival was without rain this year – some years it can be a bit like Glastonbury often is – wet and very muddy.

We specialise in vintage diecast toys like Dinky, Corgi and Spot-on along with more modern Pixar cars from the Disney film ‘CARS’.

Now back to setting up this blog…………..

    Hi Veronica,
You’re up and running and that’s the most important part.
    One step at a time.
It isn’t a race you want to be around as long as Fairport and co.

    All the best

    Jim

    Hi Veronica,

That convention sounds like a fun place to be-sounds like it is right up my alley, so to speak.

Those doggone computer gremlims are making life tough for a lot of people-I believe that they have hit each of us a few times now. I saw that Mick commented-one day I checked his blog, only to find it taken over by a hosting company. There it was: MickFallon.com with absolutely NO SIGN of Micks blog.

Anyway, Veronica…I hope that things continue to improve for you-I wish you the best!
    Take care,
    Joann

    Hi Veronica
Well done and welcome to the world online. I’ve eventually beaten my blogsite into a presentable place to visit. Just have to furnish it with lots of interesting things to interest visitors. Keep progressing, you’ll get there, I have faith that we will.
Will try and stop by again soon – must dash and figure out how to put up link to Alex’s free ebook on my PPP. ;)

  6. Hello Veronica

You’ve got a good looking blog for a newbie and the picture up there is eye catching! Keep up the spirit, the only time we fail is when we quit.

    Cheers!

    Nona

Nona, my picture is part of my ‘not hiding’ strategy.

I’ve previously been very shy about letting myself be known but the responses I’ve had have been great. If you’re thinking of adding a picture to your blog, here’s a link to the way I found out how to do it!
